“You come here to get fly…”
Next month, Murs will link with Terrace Martin for collaboration album Melrose. The project drops exclusively on www.mursworld.com, and represents the first time the duo’s worked together since the Murs’s 2008, Warner Bros. major label release, Murs For President.
Created in homage to the care-free culture of Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, this project will be devoid of deep content, focusing instead on real-life, hedonistic experiences.
“That album was so serious and such an intense process for the both of us, and we just wanted to do something fun and different,” Murs detailed. “And as different as we are from one another, we found a common ground in music and women. Add that to the fact we had both just broke up with our longtime girlfriends and were wilding out. So we definitely had a lot material and real life experience to draw from.”
Melrose will be available on February 8. “On Melrose” is directed by Van Styles.
